Your Right to Opt Out
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and similar state privacy laws, you have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Canopy Insurance Texas respects your privacy choices and provides this page as a way for you to exercise those rights.
What “Sale” and “Sharing” Mean
Under California law, a “sale” of personal information means providing personal information to a third party in exchange for monetary or other valuable consideration. “Sharing” means providing personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.
Canopy Insurance Texas does not sell your personal information in the traditional sense. However, certain activities — such as the use of analytics cookies, advertising pixels, or sharing data with carrier partners for marketing purposes — may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under California law.
